Aug 24 1999 - Prior to painting, U.S.Air Force Senior Airman James Harrell, from Salem, Indiana a corrosion control specialist of the 8th Maintenance Squadron, applies masking tape to all nonpainted surfaces of a F-16C "Fighting Falcon" from the 8th Fighter Wing, Kunsan Air Base. The Kunsan team developed a new action workout that saves U.S. taxpayers 75,000 dollars per plane painted, and shortens the turnaround time by four days. A six-man team of specialists is utilizing Osan Air Base, also in the Republic of Korea, while a new painting facility is constructed at Kunsan AB. (U.S. Air Force photo by Tech Sgt. Lance Cheung)
