Senior Airman Trent Fairchild, a crew chief assigned to the 77th Expeditionary Fighter Squadron, Shaw Air Force Base, S.C., does foreign object debris check on an F-16 Fighting Falcon prior to a quality assurance inspection Sep. 2, 2002.  The 77th Fighter Squadron is deployed to Incirlik Air Base, Turkey, in support of Operation Northern Watch.  The operation was established in January of 1997 to enforce the United Nations no-fly zone as well as monitor and surveil Iraqi forces north of the 36th parallel to ensure compliance with Security Council resolutions.
