Air Force Captain Phil Tau (foreground) along with other pilots of the
114th Fighter Wing / 175th Fighter Squadron, goes through his checklist
while seated in a F-16 Fighting Falcon prior to lowereing the canopy
for a Southern Watch combat patrol mission over Iraq. Tau is a
F-16C pilot with the 114th Fighter Wing /175th Fighter Squadron, South
Dakota Air National Guard, and is deployed to Ahmed Al-Jaber Air Base,
Kuwait in support of Operation Southern Watch. The 114th
FighterWing has three F-16C aircraft as well a numerous pilots and
support personnel deployed to Kuwait.
