AVIANO AIR BASE Italy -- Capt. Phil Lancaster prepares his F-16 Fighting Falcon for a nighttime flight here.  A cold front hit the area Feb. 21 and left almost six inches of snow.  The area averages less than four inches of snowfall annually; the last significant snowfall was in December 2001.  Captain Lancaster is assigned to the 510th Fighter Squadron.  (U.S. Air Force photo by Master Sgt.
