Weapons loaders from the 332nd Expeditionary Aircraft Maintenance
Squadron wait outside a hardened aircraft shelter for a maintainer's
signal to proceed with the weapons load on a newly-arrived Guard F-16
Fighting Falcon from Michigan Sept. 20. The jet is one of many Guard
jets from South Dakota, Michigan, New York, and Washington, D.C., that
were swapped for Guard F-16s from Alabama and Illinois. In a four month
period at Balad Air Base, Iraq, F-16s fly the equivalent of a full
years flying at their home station, and are switched with each new Air
Expeditionary Force rotation. (U.S. Air Force photo/Senior Airman Kerry
