Arabian Gulf (Sept. 4, 2004) -- Lt. Cmdr. Robert Lacy, of Richmond,
Va., signals the launch of an F-14B Tomcat assigned to the "Jolly
Rogers" of Fighter Squadron One Zero Three (VF-103) during flight
operations in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF). The F-14 Tomcat
is a supersonic, twin-engine, variable sweep-wing fighter designed to
attack and destroy aircraft in all weather conditions. Kennedy and
embarked Carrier Air Wing Seventeen (CVW-17) are operating in the 5th
fleet area of responsibility (AOR) in support of Operation Iraqi
Freedom (OIF). Units in the Kennedy Carrier Strike Group are
working closely with Multi-National Corps-Iraq and Iraqi forces to
