An F-22 Raptor taxis the runway participating in a Red Flag-Alaska
mission July 27 at Elmendorf Air Force Base, Alaska. Red Flag is a
Pacific Air Forces commander-based field training exercise for U.S.
coalition forces flown under simulated air combat conditions. It
provides joint offensive counter-air, interdiction close air support,
and large force employment training in a simulated combat environment.
Participating bases include Elmendorf and Eielson Air Force bases,
Alaska, and Osan Air Base, South Korea. U.S. Air Force
