EDWARDS AIR FORCE BASE, Calif. -- A B-52 Stratofortress takes off from Edwards Air Force Base, Calif., on a flight test of its new avionics system.  The new system is part of the B-52 Avionics Midlife Improvement program.  Flight tests began in December and will run through March 2004.  The upgrade is the greatest improvement made to the bomber in the last 15 years.  (Photo by David Siu)
