Although Yugoslavian leaders agreed June 9 to demands set by NATO to
bring peace to Kosovo, members of the 40th Expeditionary Operations
Group stand ready if called upon to enforce the agreement. More than
450 people are deployed to Gioia del Colle from Spangdahlem Air Base,
Germany; Pope Air Force Base, N.C.; and about a dozen other Air Force
units from around the world in support of Operation Allied Force.
