A U.S. Marine Corps AV-8B Harrier jump jet  landing on the flight deck of the USS Nassau, when the "D-Day" invasion commences on Monday, June 15th, 1998, during Maritime Combined Operational Training (MARCOT)/Unified Spirit '98, the joint/combined exercise including forces from Canada, Denmark, The United Kingdom, France, The United States and other NATO nations. This exercise provides cost-effective, realistic training for Canadian and NATO forces to improve the skills they might employ during a NATO-led peacekeeping-support operation.
