Arabian Gulf (Aug. 3, 2004) -- Landing Signal Enlisted (LSE), Airman
Hector Peralta helps direct an AV-8B Harrier assigned to the "Fighting
Griffins" of Marine Helicopter Medium Squadron Two Six Six HMM-266 to
land aboard the flight deck of the amphibious assault ship USS Wasp
(LHD 1). The Aircraft Combat Element returned to Wasp after more than
three months of operations in Afghanistan. The Wasp Expeditionary
Strike Group Two (ESG-2) has been on deployment since mid-February in
support of Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF) and the global war on
