A fixed-wing aircraft mechanic signals the pilot of an AV-8B Harrier II while he taxis into a parking spot on the flight line at Al Asad, Iraq, Dec. 15. The Marines and aircraft are attached to Marine Attack Squadron 311, Marine Aircraft Group 16, 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing. They are in Iraq supporting ground units with close air support and aerial reconnaissance.
