Pacific Ocean (Feb. 2, 2006) -- Aviation Boatswain’s Mate 2nd
class Jerry Lowe signals a AV/8-B Harrier assigned to the "Sea Elks" of
Marine Medium Helicopter Squadron One Six Six (HMM-166) to launch from
the flight deck aboard the amphibious assault ship USS Tarawa (LHA 1).
The Harriers are conducting hover checks and other routine operations
with the 13th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU) and Expeditionary Strike
Group One (ESG-1) in support of the global war on terrorism. U.S. Navy
