PERSIAN GULF (Sept. 15, 2007) -- An AV-8B Harrier attached to the 13th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU) Air Combat Element lands on the flight deck aboard amphibious assault ship USS Bonhomme Richard (LHD 6). Marines and equipment from the 13th MEU returned to Bonhomme Richard, following a 3.5-month tour providing assault support, close-air support, heavy lift capabilities, as well as intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance for the 2nd Marine Aircraft Wing Forward in the Al Anbar Province, Iraq.
