SEA OF JAPAN (April 5, 2009) -- Aviation Boatswain's Mate (Handling) 1st Class Darrio Davis directs an AV-8B Harrier assigned to the Air Combat Element of the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit (31st MEU) to take off from the amphibious assault ship USS Essex (LHD 2).
