INDIAN OCEAN (May 3, 2009) -- A pilot assigned to Marine Medium Helicopter Squadron (HMM) 163 receives signals from air handlers before take-off during AV-8B Harrier flight operations aboard the amphibious assault ship USS Boxer (LHD 4). Boxer is deployed as part of the Boxer Amphibious Readiness Group/13th Marine Expeditionary Unit (13th MEU) supporting maritime security operations in the U.S. 5th fleet area of responsibility.
