At sea aboard USS Belleau Wood (LHA 3) May 4, 2002 -- An AV-8B Harrier II aircraft from Helicopter Medium Squadron One Six Six (HMM-166) (Rein), 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU), hovers above the flight deck in preparation to land after a training exercise in support of the 11th MEU’s Special Operations Capable Exercise (SOCEX).  SOCEX is the final exercise the 11th MEU will participate in before deploying to the Western Pacific and Arabian Gulf regions.  U.S. Marine Corps photo by Sgt.
