Yogyakarta, Indonesia (June 8, 2006) - Two U.S. Marine Corps C-130
Hercules airplanes assigned to 1st Marine Aircraft Wing in Okinawa,
Japan, arrived at the Yogyakarta airport with 11 tons of medical
supplies donated by private American pharmaceutical companies to
Project Hope, a non-profit organization focused on health education and
training with a humanitarian aid component. A 6.3 magnitude earthquake
devastated Central Java, Indonesia, May 27, prompting the donation of
supplies to assist medical facilities here for victims of the disaster.
