December 8, 1995, Taking off from Ancona, Italy the USAF's newest cargo aircraft the C-17 Globemaster III, 437th ALW, Charleston, SC., takes it's place in history by flying it's first aerial combat mission into Sarajevo, Bosnia-Herzgovina after a brief R.O.N. at Rhein-Main AB, GE. The C-17 carried 18 pallets of kerosene and wood chips downloading it's cargo in just under thirty five minutes at Sarajevo's airport.  (Combat Camera Imagery by SSgt Efrain Gonzalez, USAF)
