Six C-17 Globemaster III's prepare to launch as part of a formation training exercise Dec. 20 from McChord Air Force Base, Wash.  The exercise consisted of 10 aircraft and was designed to test all the organizations and different aspects of the mission that have to come together to facilitate launching, executing and recovering a large formation of C-17's in a short period of time.
