ON BOARD USS JOHN F. KENNEDY,(CV67), LCDR DENNIS TURCOTTE FROM MERRIMACK, NH SHOOTS OFF THE NEW E-2C HAWKEYE FOR IT'S FIRST LAUNCH EVER ON AN AIRCRAFT CARRIER ON NOV 21, 2003. THE NEW PROPELLED AIRCRAFT IS EQUIPPED WITH TWO NP2000 EIGHT-BLADED PROPELLERS WHICH ARE DIGITALLY CONTROLLED. IT HAS BEEN IN FLIGHT TESTING FOR THREE YEARS AND IS NOW FINISHING UP FLIGHT CERTIFICATIONS. THIS IS THE LAST MAJOR DEVELOPMENT TEST BEFORE FLEET INSTALLATION.  THE USS JOHN F.
