Pacific Ocean (Feb. 18, 2005) -- An Aviation Boatswain’s Mate directs the pilots of an E-2C Hawkeye, assigned to the "Golden Hawks " of Carrier Airborne Early Warning Squadron One One Two (VAW-112), after a safe recovery during flight operations aboard the Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS Carl Vinson (CVN 70). Carl Vinson is on a scheduled deployment and will arrive in Norfolk, Va., at its completion to prepare her for refueling and a complex overhaul.
