South China Sea (Dec. 7, 2005) -- A plane captain assigned to the “Liberty Bells” of Carrier Airborne Early Warning Squadron One One Five (VAW-115), signals to the pilot that pre-flight checks are complete prior to launching from the flight deck of the conventionally powered aircraft carrier USS Kitty Hawk (CV 63).
