Atlantic Ocean (April 18, 2005) -- An E-2C+ Hawkeye, assigned to the
"Screwtops" of Carrier Airborne Early Warning Squadron One Two Three
(VAW-123), lands aboard the Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS Dwight D.
Eisenhower (CVN 69). The E-2C+ Hawkeye is modified with the
eight-bladed NP2000 propeller. The new propeller, made by
Hamilton-Sundstrand, increases performance and safety along with better
maintenance techniques. Eisenhower is currently underway conducting
routine operations in the Atlantic Ocean after a four-year mid-life
overhaul. U.S. Navy photo by Photographer's Mate Airman Christopher
