Alvarez (left), of Miami, Fla., removes a thermal couple panel from an
E-2C Hawkeye, assigned to the "Screwtops" of Carrier Airborne Early
Warning Squadron One Two Three (VAW-123), as Aviation Structural
Mechanic 3rd Class Joe Brandt, of Salisbury Center, N.Y., replaces
sealant for panels on the radar rotodome aboard the nuclear-powered
aircraft carrier USS Enterprise (CVN 65). Enterprise Carrier Strike
Group and embarked Carrier Air Wing One (CVW-1) are currently on a
scheduled six-month deployment in support of global war on terrorism.
