A dusting of early morning snow covers two U.S. Navy P-3C Orion aircraft from Patrol Squadron 46 on the flight line at Naval Air Station, Whidbey Island, Wash., on Jan. 26, 1996.  The Orion is a land-based, long range, anti-submarine warfare patrol and surface surveillance aircraft.  It has advanced submarine detection sensors such as directional frequency and ranging sonobouys and magnetic anomaly detection equipment.  DoD photo by Petty Officer 2nd Class C.T.
