LOS ANGELES -- A CH-46E helicopter from Marine Medium Helicopter
Squadron 163 (Rein) completes a left turn 1,000 feet over the city of
Los Angles enroute to the Los Angeles Police Department's helipad
during an urban navigation flight. Two HMM-163 aircrews flew the
low-altitude mission to practice using key urban terrain features as
navigation aids during the 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit's Training in
an Urban Environment (TRUE) training in San Bernardino, Calif., April
2-12. The 15th MEU is currently preparing for its six-month
deployment to the Arabian Gulf and the Indian Ocean in August.
