The Arabian Gulf (Apr. 15, 2003) -- Crewmembers aboard USS Nimitz (CVN
68) unload nearly 300 pallets of supplies on the flight deck during a
Vertical Replenishment (VERTREP) with the fast combat support ship USS
Bridge (AOE 10). Nimitz and Carrier Air Wing Eleven (CVW-11) are
currently deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.
Operation Iraqi Freedom is the multi-national coalition effort to
liberate the Iraqi people, eliminate Iraq's weapons of mass
destruction, and end the regime of Saddam Hussein. U.S. Navy
