Indian Ocean (July 24, 2004) - A CH-46 Sea Knight helicopter assigned to the “Fighting Griffins” of Marine Helicopter Medium Squadron Two Six Six (HMM-266) is towed on the flight deck of the amphibious assault ship USS Wasp (LHD 1). HMM-266 is the Aircraft Combat Element of the 22nd Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU)(Special Operations Capable) as they return to the flight deck of the amphibious assault ship USS Wasp (LHD 1). The 22nd MEU is part of the Wasp Expeditionary Strike Group two (ESG-2) and are currently on deployment in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF).
