Straits of Malacca (Jan. 21, 2005) - Aviation Boatswain's Mate Airman
Allen M. Cameron, foreground, supervises Airman Hai Wong as he directs
a CH-46E Sea Knight helicopter assigned to the "Flying Tigers" of
Marine Medium Helicopter Squadron Two Six Two (HMM-262), to land onto
the flight deck aboard the amphibious assault ship USS Essex (LHD 2).
Essex is currently underway in support of Operation Unified Assistance,
the humanitarian operation effort in the wake of the Tsunami that
struck South East Asia. Essex is the Navy's only forward deployed
amphibious assault ship homeported in Sasebo, Japan. U.S. Navy photo by
