Saint Bernard, Philippines (Feb. 19, 2006) -- A CH-46E Sea Knight from
the Flying Tigers of Marine Medium Helicopter Squadron 262 (HMM-262)
takes off after unloading food, blankets, water and other vital
supplies to survivors of the devastating landslide that struck Feb. 17.
HMM-262 is part of the Marine Air Combat Element embarked aboard the
amphibious assault ship USS Essex (LHD 2). Essex and the dock landing
ship USS Harpers Ferry (LSD 49) are providing humanitarian assistance
in the region. Both ships are part of the U.S. Navy's only Forward
Deployed Amphibious Ready Group (ARG) homeported in Sasebo, Japan. U.S.
