Three CH-46 Sea Knight helicopters depart Shaw Air Force Base, S.C., after a brief visit to refuel Aug. 14, 2000.  The U.S. Marine Corps CH-46's, assigned to HMM-162 at New River, N.C., have just been hot pit refueled by a U.S.M.C. KC-130 of VMGR-252 from Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point, also located in North Carolina.  The hot pit refueling, where one or more aircraft refuel with their engines running, occured at Shaw as the helicopters transitted the area while deploying to Naval Air Station Atlanta, Ga., for an exercise.  (U.S. Air Force photo by Senior Airman Greg L.
