CAMP PENDLETON, Calif. - A squad leader with 3rd Plt., C Company,
Battalion Landing Team 1/1, 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit, waits on
the edge of a landing zone as a CH-53E Super Stallion helicopter comes
in to extract Marines at the end of a helicopter borne raid exercise
Feb. 27 here. The exercise was part of a raid course taught by I
Marine Expeditionary Force's Special Operation Training Group. The
Marines are training for their deployment to the Western Pacific and
Arabian Gulf regions later this summer with the 15th MEU.
