USS ESSEX (LHD 2)- RAYONG, Thailand -- A CH-53E Super Stallion helicopter, from the Air Combat Element (ACE), lands on White Land on May 25.  The ACE is involved in removing 99 American Citizens and evacuees from a staged Embassy during a Non-Combatant Evacuation Operation (NEO) Exercise as part of Exercise Cobra Gold 2002.  Cobra Gold is a joint exercise designed to improve interoperability and cooperation between Thai and United States forces.  Official U.S. Navy Photograph by: Photographers Mate 3rd Class (AW) Clover B.
