IMPERIAL BEACH, Calif. (Dec. 12, 2007) A Marine Corps CH-53 helicopter hovers over the water off the coast of Imperial Beach, Calif. as it prepares to release an 11-meter rigid inflatable boat (RIB), during a maritime extraction air transportation system evolution. Special warfare combatant-craft crewmen use this maritime transportation capability to move RHIBs and special operation crafts-riverine, as well as, the boat crews from land to water.
