At sea aboard USS Essex (LHD 2) Jan. 16, 2003 -- A CH-53E Super Stallion assigned to the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU) Aviation Combat Element (ACE) practices vertical replenishment (VERTREP) procedures aboard the ship.
