Camp Patriot, Kuwait  (Feb. 17, 2003) -- More than 1000 U.S. Marines assigned to the 1st Battalion, 2nd Marines board U.S. Marine CH-53E Super Stallions as part of the Amphibious Task Force East (ATF-E) transit to their next assigned base in the Central Command Area of Operation.  Camp Patriot is the location for Commander, Task Group 51.8 (CTG 51.8).  The joint command is comprised of multiple units from the Navy, Marine Corps, Army, Air Force and Coast Guard.  CTG 51.8 is deployed to Kuwait to support the global war on terrorism and to prepare for possible future contingencies.  U.S. Navy photo by Journalist 1st Class Joseph Krypel.  (RELEASED)
