Central Command Area of Responsibility (Mar. 20, 2003) -- Dive Platoon service members assigned to Commander Task Unit (CTU-55.4.3) transit the flight deck to board a MH-53 Sea Dragon helicopter aboard the amphibious dock landing ship USS Gunston Hall (LSD 44).  CTU-55.4.3 consists of Naval Special Clearance Team-1, Fleet Diving Unit 3 from the United Kingdom, Clearance Dive Team from Australia, and Explosive Ordnance Disposal Mobile Units 6 and 8 and is conducting deep/shallow water mine counter measure operations to clear shipping lanes for humanitarian relief in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. Operation Iraqi Freedom is the multi-national coalition effort to liberate the Iraqi people, eliminate Iraq's weapons of mass destruction, and end the regime of Saddam Hussein.
