Persian Gulf (Mar. 17, 2005) -- Aviation Boatswain's Mate 2nd Class
Dennis Cochran, a Waist Safety Observer aboard USS Harry S. Truman (CVN
75), shields himself from the jet blast of an F/A-18C Hornet, assigned
to the "Bulls" of Strike Fighter Squadron Three Seven (VFA-37), while
the aircraft launches. Carrier Air Wing Three (CVW-3) is embarked
aboard Truman are providing close air support and conducting
intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance over Iraq. The Truman
Carrier Strike Group is on a regularly scheduled deployment in support
