Pacific Ocean (Nov. 15, 2006) -- An F/A-18C Hornet assigned to the "Death Rattlers" of Fighter Attack Squadron Three Two Three (VMFA-323) launches from the flight deck of the nuclear-powered aircraft carrier USS John C. Stennis (CVN 74). Serving as the flagship for Commander, Carrier Strike Group Three (CSG-3), Stennis is currently participating in Joint Task Force Exercise (JTFEX). JTFEX is the third at-sea phase of the John C. Stennis Carrier Strike Group's (JCSSG) pre-deployment training cycle.
