Mediterranean Sea (July 9, 2005) -- An F/A-18C Hornet, assigned to the
"Death Rattlers" of Marine Fighter Attack Squadron Three Two Three
(VMFA-323), awaits to taxi forward to one of four steam powered
catapults on the flight deck aboard the Nimitz-class aircraft carrier
USS Carl Vinson (CVN 70) during night flight operations. The Carl
Vinson Carrier Strike Group is currently deployed to the 6th Fleet area
of operations. Vinson will end her deployment with a homeport shift to
Norfolk, Va., and commence a three-year refuel and complex overhaul.
