Atlantic Ocean (July 15, 2005) -- An Aviation Ordnanceman, temporarily assigned to Carrier Air Wing Arm/De-arm, signals the pilot of an F/A-18A+ Hornet, assigned to the “Silver Eagles” of Marine Fighter Attack Squadron One One Five (VMFA-115), to keep hands clear of all controls while ordnance is being armed prior to launching from the flight deck of the Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS Harry S. Truman (CVN 75). Truman is currently conducting carrier qualifications and operations off the East Coast and is also participating in a Joint Task Force Exercise (JTFEX) with USS Theodore Roosevelt (CVN 71). JTFEX is a key component in the training cycle of an aircraft carrier and carrier air wing in the U.S. Navy Fleet Response Plan.
