ARABIAN SEA (May 18, 2007) -- Airman Apprentice Zach Bray from air department's launch and recovery division hurries to ensure the tailhook releases the arresting gear wire after the recovery of an F/A-18C  Hornet from the "Death Rattlers" of Marine Strike Fighter Squadron (VMFA) 323 on the flight deck aboard the Nimitz-class carrier USS John C. Stennis (CVN 74).  Stennis, as part of the John C. Stennis Carrier Strike Group, is on a regularly scheduled deployment in support of Maritime Operations.  Maritime Operations help set the conditions for security and stability in the maritime environment, as well as complement the counter-terrorism and security efforts of regional nations.  U.S. Navy photo by Mass Communication Specialist 3rd Class Paul J.
