Pacific Ocean (Apr. 3, 2003) -- An aircraft director signals the pilot
of an F/A-18C Hornet assigned to the "Blue Diamonds" of Strike Fighter
Squadron One Four Six (VFA-146) during pre-launch sequence on the
flight deck of the aircraft carrier USS Carl Vinson (CVN 70).
Carl Vinson and her embarked Carrier Air Wing Nine (CVW-9) are on
deployment in the western Pacific Ocean, conducting missions in
support of Operation Enduring Freedom, or other missions as may be
