The Mediterranean Sea (Apr. 28, 2003) -- An F/A-18C Hornet assigned to the "War Party" of Strike Fighter Squadron Eighty Seven (VFA-87) moves into launch position on the flight deck of USS Theodore Roosevelt (CVN 71).  Roosevelt and Carrier Air Wing Eight (CVW 8) are on deployment conducting missions in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.  Operation Iraqi Freedom is the multi-national coalition effort to liberate the Iraqi people, eliminate Iraq's weapons of mass destruction, and end the regime of Saddam Hussein.  U.S. Navy photo by Photographer's Mate Airman Aaron Burden.  (RELEASED)
