Atlantic Ocean (Jul. 24, 2003) -- Aviation Boatswain's Mate 2nd Class Juan Canales directs an F/A-18 Hornet from Air Test and Evaluation Squadron Two Three (VX-23) to one of four steam driven catapults on the ship's flight deck, in preparation for the first launch aboard USS Ronald Reagan (CVN 76).  Reagan is currently underway off the coast of Virginia conducting flight deck certifications.  U.S. Navy photo by Photographer's Mate 2nd Class Charles A.
