Aboard USS Carl Vinson (CVN 70) Sept. 14, 2003 -- A "Shooter" signals that an F/A 18C Hornet is "ready for launch" on the flight deck of the aircraft carrier USS Carl Vinson (CVN 70).  The Carl Vinson Carrier Strike Group (CSG) is returning home, to the West Coast this week, following an eight-month deployment to the Western Pacific in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.  U.S. Navy photo by Photographer's Mate Airman Chris M.
