Red Sea (Feb. 2, 2004) Ð Aviation Boatswain's Mate 3rd Class Mathew D. Shelton from Cincinnati, Ohio, runs to the safe line after connecting an F/A-18 Hornet assigned to the "Checkerboards" of Marine Fighter Attack Squadron Three One Two (VFMA-312) to one of four steam-powered catapults, moments before launch aboard USS Enterprise (CVN 65).
