At sea aboard USS Theodore Roosevelt (CVN 71) Jan 31, 2003 -- The Landing Signal Officer ( LSO) keeps a watchful eye on an F/A-18C Hornet assigned to the "War Party"  of Strike Fighter Squadron Eight Seven (VFA-87) as it comes in for a safe landing on the flight deck.  The War Party is part of Carrier Airwing Eight (CVW-8), embarked aboard Roosevelt conducting training exercises in the Caribbean Sea while preparing to deploy to the United States Central Command Area of Responsibility.
