At sea aboard USS Carl Vinson (CVN 72) Nov. 14, 2002 -- An
Aircraft Director motions for the pilot to stop motion while
troubleshooters and catapult workers prepare the F/A-18C Hornet
assigned to the "Blue Diamonds" of Strike Fighter Squadron One Four Six
(VFA-146) for launch from one of four steam catapults from the ship's
flight deck. Carl Vinson is underway off the southern coast of
Calif., conducting training in preparation for their next regularly
